The Philadelphia Phillies activated outfielder Domonic Brown from the seven-day concussion list Tuesday and designated outfielder Laynce Nix for assignment.

Brown, who suffered a concussion attempting to make a diving catch on July 23 against the St. Louis Cardinals, rejoins the team after missing 11 games.

The 25-year-old leads the Phillies in home runs, RBI, runs scored and slugging percentage. In 99 games, Brown is hitting .271 with 24 homers, 69 RBI, 51 runs scored and owns a .531 slugging percentage.

In his first full season in the majors, Brown earned a trip to the All-Star Game.

Brown was expected to rejoin the team Thursday after a second rehab game with Double-A Reading, but went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI Monday with Single-A Lakewood and was deemed ready to play.

While Brown was on the mend, the Phillies went 1-10 and fell out of the playoff race.

Nix hit .180 with two home runs and seven RBI in 81 games and 128 at bats this season.
