Toronto, ON – The Toronto Raptors signed free-agent forward Austin Daye on Thursday.
Per team policy, financial details were not disclosed.
The 6-foot-11, 200-pound Daye averaged 4.5 points and 2.2 rebounds while shooting .418 from three-point range in 55 games with the Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies last season.
Selected by Detroit in the first round (15th overall) in the 2009 NBA Draft, Daye has averaged 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 237 career regular-season games (24 starts) with the Pistons and Grizzlies.
The California native ended up in Memphis as a piece in the three-team deal that sent Rudy Gay to Toronto on January 30.
