The Dallas Mavericks signed guard Devin Harris to a contract on Wednesday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed per team policy.

Harris joins the Mavericks for his second stint after spending 2004-08 in Dallas. In 251 games, he averaged 9.4 points, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He was then traded to the then-New Jersey Nets in a deal that brought Jason Kidd back to Dallas.

The 30-year-old guard spent last season with the Atlanta Hawks, averaging 9.9 points, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 58 games (34 starts).

An All-Star in 2009, Harris has career averages of 12.8 points, 4.9 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals in nine seasons with Dallas, New Jersey (2008-11), Utah (2011-12) and Atlanta.
