Home Run Derby champion Yoenis Cespedes was out of the lineup for the Oakland Athletics Friday night due to left wrist soreness.

Cespedes, who hit 32 homers Monday night to win the Derby, actually has a 19- game drought without a homer in regular season play. That's the second-longest streak of his career. He hasn't gone deep since a two-homer game June 21 at Seattle.

Chris Young started in left field and Josh Reddick in right for the opener of a three-game series against the Angels.
