The Toronto Raptors signed big man Tyler Hansbrough to a multi-year contract on Monday.

The 6-foot-9 former North Carolina star is heading north of the border after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Indiana Pacers.

Hansbrough, 27, has averaged 8.9 points and 4.7 rebounds in 246 games.

The Pacers selected Hansbrough with the 13th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft following a superb collegiate career. He left North Carolina as the school's all-time leader with 2,872 points.
