The Philadelphia 76ers announced Saturday that they have acquired forward Royce White from the Houston Rockets.

The Sixers also obtained the rights to 21-year-old center/forward Furkan Aldemir and additional consideration from the Rockets in exchange for future draft considerations.

White, the 16th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Iowa State, has an anxiety disorder that kept him off the court last season. The 22-year-old spent much of the year suspended or playing for Rio Grand Valley of the NBA D- League. In 16 games for the Vipers, the 6-foot-8 White averaged 11.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in just under 26 minutes.

Aldemir has been playing professionally in his native Turkey. Selected by the Los Angeles Clippers with the 53rd pick in last year's draft, Aldemir averaged 5.1 points and 6.9 rebounds while shooting 69 percent from the field in 40 Turkish Basketball League games this past season.
