The Chicago Blackhawks re-signed forward Marcus Kruger to a two-year contract on Friday.

Kruger, a restricted free agent, has been with the Blackhawks since making his NHL debut late in the 2010-11 season. He played all but one game during the shortened 2013 campaign, racking up four goals and nine assists in 47 contests, and added three goals and two helpers during Chicago's run to the Stanley Cup title.

The 23-year-old Swede has posted 13 goals and 26 assists in 125 career games with the Blackhawks.
