The Dallas Cowboys released veteran fullback Lawrence Vickers on Friday.

Vickers played in all 16 games and made six starts for Dallas last season, with the seven-year pro totaling a career-best 104 receiving yards on 13 catches and adding a pair of tackles on special teams.

The 30-year-old, who previously played with Cleveland and Houston prior to joining the Cowboys, was entering the final season of a two-year deal he signed with Dallas in March of 2012.

Vickers has recorded 58 catches for 404 yards and three touchdowns over 106 career NFL games, while being credited with 17 tackles on special teams.
