Nabil Ghilas completed a move from Moreirense to FC Porto on Monday, joining the Portuguese champions on a four- year contract.

Ghilas tallied 13 goals in 30 games last season for Moreirense, but it wasn't enough to prevent the team from being relegated.

He now has the chance to enjoy life at the opposite end of the table with Porto after the club clinched its third successive league title by one point ahead of Benfica last term.

"It is a very big club, the greatest team in Portugal and one of Europe's major forces," Ghilas told the club's official website.

"It was the club that I liked when I came to Portugal.

"My goals are to work hard and play as much as possible. I have come to learn and hopefully be champion this year."

The 23-year-old has scored one goal in two appearances for Algeria and his contract with Porto contains a release clause of $38 million.
