The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled infielder Josh Harrison from Triple-A Indianapolis Friday and optioned catcher Tony Sanchez to Indianapolis.
Harrison appeared in 11 games with the Pirates earlier this season, but batted just .182 with one RBI before being sent down to Indianapolis.
The 25-year-old infielder seemed to find his stroke at Indianapolis, as he batted .316 with five triples, four home runs and 33 RBI over 60 games.
Sanchez, the fourth overall pick in the 2009 draft, made his major league debut with the Pirates on June 23 and collected two hits in eight at-bats over two games in his only big league action.
