The Indiana Pacers are going to be a great team next season and it will have absolutely nothing to do with their draft choice on Thursday night.

Solomon Hill.

Whoa.

The Pacers stunned us all last year with Miles Plumlee way too early. They like four-year players, value them higher than almost any other team in the NBA.

That doesn't make it right.

Hill can do everything decently, but nothing well enough to warrant first- round status. He scored 20 points or more just seven times in his four years at Arizona.

The Pacers have had a history of great, late first-rounders that other teams weren't biting on. Think of Paul George or Danny Granger. But lately, the Pacers draft like they know something we all don't.

I don't get this one a little bit.
