The National Football League has suspended Indianapolis Colts wide receiver LaVon Brazill for the first four games of the 2013 season for violating the league's policy and program for substances of abuse.

Brazill, a sixth-round pick of Indianapolis in the 2012 draft, will be eligible to return to the active roster following the Colts' Week 4 matchup against Jacksonville on September 29. He will be allowed to participate in training camp practices as well as the preseason.

The 24-year-old appeared in 15 games as a rookie last season, recording 11 catches for 186 yards and a touchdown while contributing four tackles on special teams.
