The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled pitcher Zeke Spruill from Triple-A Reno and designated infielder Josh Wilson for assignment, the club announced on Friday.

Spruill, 23, has no major league experience but went 3-6 with a 3.12 ERA in 14 combined starts with Double-A Mobile and Reno this season. He has compiled a 41-39 record with a 3.52 ERA over 118 games, including 109 starts, in six career minor league seasons.

The righty was part of the return in the Jan. 24 trade that sent outfielder Justin Upton to Atlanta.

Wilson recorded one homer and drove in four runs while hitting .200 over 30 games for the Diamondbacks this year.
