Chicago Blackhawks right wing Marian Hossa sat out Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals

Head coach Joel Quenneville said after the game, which Chicago lost 2-0, that Hossa suffered an upper-body injury before the warmups and he is day-to-day.

"We'll say day-to-day," said Quenneville. "We're hopeful he'll be ready for the next game. It was a game-time decision after the warmup there. That's when we made the call, after warmup."

Hossa was replaced by forward Ben Smith, who played his first game in this postseason.

Hossa is tied for the team lead in points this postseason with seven goals and eight assists in 19 contests.

Chicago now trails the best-of-seven series, 2-1, with Game 4 set for Wednesday night in Boston.
