Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Domonic Brown has been selected as the National League's Player of the Week for the period ending June 2.

Brown earned his second consecutive Player of the Week honor after leading the majors with seven home runs, 13 RBI, 35 total bases and a 1.296 slugging percentage.

The 25-year-old is hitting .282 with 16 homers and 40 RBI in 56 games this season. His 16 homers leads the National League.

Others considered for the award were Brown's Phillies teammate Cliff Lee, Miami's Chris Coghlan, Colorado's Michael Cuddyer, Atlanta's Freddie Freeman, Arizona's Paul Goldschmidt, Milwaukee's Jonathan Lucroy, Cincinnati's Mike Leake, Edward Mujica and Adam Wainwright of St. Louis, Hyun-Jin Ryu of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs' Jeff Samardzija.
