The Tampa Bay Rays optioned pitcher Alex Colome to Triple-A Durham and recalled pitcher Jeff Beliveau from the minor league club.

The Rays also announced Friday that Chris Archer was added to the taxi squad and will start Saturday's game against the Cleveland Indians.

Colome pitched 5 2/3 innings in his MLB debut Thursday, giving up one unearned run on five hits and two walks to go with seven strikeouts in the Rays' 5-2 victory over the Miami Marlins.

Beliveau was 0-1 with a 3.29 ERA in 13 relief appearances with Durham this season.

Archer went 1-3 with a 4.60 ERA in six games (four starts) for Tampa Bay in 2012.
