Everton will play 3 preseason games in US as part of 8-team tournament

Everton will play three games in the United States during a preseason tour.

The Toffees said Saturday they will play July 30 in San Francisco, Aug. 3 in Los Angeles and Aug. 6 or 7 in Miami.

The Liverpool-based club said the preseason tournament, known as the International Champions Cup, will include Chelsea, AC Milan and Benfica in addition to Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan and the Los Angeles Galaxy, who were announced last month. Organizers said on their website Saturday that Valencia also will be part of the tournament.

Games will be played from July 27 to Aug. 7, and the organizers' website said sites also include Phoenix, Indianapolis, New York and a European city not yet announced.
