The Atlanta Braves placed relief pitcher Eric O'Flaherty on the 15-day disabled list prior to Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

O'Flaherty, who allowed a solo homer to the Dodgers' Scott Van Slyke in an inning of work in Friday's win over Los Angeles, is dealing with an elbow strain.

The left-hander has compiled a 3-0 record and a 2.50 earned run average over 19 appearances this season and becomes the second key member of the Atlanta bullpen to land on the DL in as many days. Jordan Walden was shelved on Friday due to inflammation in his right shoulder.

Atlanta recalled pitcher Cory Rasmus from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill the roster spot.

The 25-year-old, and younger brother of Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus, has converted all seven of his save opportunities while posting an 0.93 in 19 games for Gwinnett this season.
