Former Arizona State defensive back Jarrid Bryant will spend a final season at the University of South Dakota this year, Coyotes head football coach Joe Glenn announced Monday.

Bryant has graduated from ASU, but has one year of eligibility remaining.

"Jarrid is hungry and looking for a place where he can get on the field and get some grass stains on his game suit," Glenn. "He is 6-feet-4 and really long for a cornerback. We needed help at that position and we look forward to him joining us so we can see what he can do."

Bryant, who grew up in Corona, Calif., and moved to Connecticut in high school, began his collegiate career as a wide receiver before moving to the defensive side prior to the 2012 season.

South Dakota, from the Missouri Valley Football Conference, is coming off a 1-10 season.
