Cincinnati, OH – The Milwaukee Brewers placed pitcher Tom Gorzelanny on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 8, with left shoulder tendinitis following Saturday's 13-7 loss to the Cincinnati Reds.
Gorzelanny is 1-0 with a 2.30 ERA and in 18 appearances this season.
The Brewers recalled right-hander Mike Fiers from Single-A Brevard County to replace Gorzelanny.
Fiers started the season with the Brewers and went 0-1 with an 8.59 ERA in three games (one start) before being optioned in April.
