The Baltimore Ravens have acquired center A.Q. Shipley from the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a conditional 2014 draft pick.

The deal is contingent upon Shipley passing a physical.

Shipley played in 14 games, including five starts, with Indianapolis in 2012. Prior to joining the Colts, Shipley was a practice squad member with Pittsburgh (2009) and Philadelphia (2010).

The Ravens have an opening at center after the retirement of Matt Birk.

Gino Gradkowski, a fourth-round pick last year, and 2013 sixth-round pick Ryan Jensen are also expected to compete for the starting role.
