The Buffalo Bills have signed rookie seventh-round draft pick, tight end Chris Gragg.

He was chosen 222nd overall out of Arkansas, and becomes the first of Buffalo's eight draft picks to sign with the team. Gragg had 72 catches for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns in 43 career games, including 20 starts.

Last season, he finished third on the Razorbacks with 22 catches for 289 yards and a career-best three touchdowns.

Gragg will have an immediate opportunity to earn a regular role because the Bills lack depth at tight end. Returning starter Scott Chandler had surgery to repair a torn left knee ligament, and it's unclear if he'll be ready for the season opener.

Gragg signed on Thursday, a day before the Bills open a three-day rookie minicamp.
