The Pittsburgh Steelers signed veteran offensive tackle Guy Whimper and linebacker Terence Garvin on Monday.

Whimper played the past three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Prior to his stint with the Jaguars, Whimper played for the Giants from 2006-09. The East Carolina product has played in 67 career games (22 starts).

Garvin went undrafted out of West Virginia University in 2013 and attended the Steelers' rookie mini-camp on a tryout basis.

To make room on the roster, the team released rookie center Ivory Wade and rookie defensive tackle Anthony Rashad White.
