Dodgers' Ramirez headed back to DL

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed shortstop Hanley Ramirez on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a left hamstring strain.

Ramirez was removed from Friday's game against the Giants after he was thrown out sliding into third in the sixth inning.

The 29-year-old Ramirez was reinstated from the disabled list on Monday after right thumb surgery on March 22 -- an injury which forced him to miss the start of the season -- and was 5-for-11 with a home run in four games.

To replace Ramirez, Dee Gordon was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque. Gordon, 25, has a .314 batting average with 12 RBI and a Pacific Coast League- leading 14 stolen bases in 25 games this season.
