San Francisco, CA – The San Francisco Giants have activated pitcher Jeremy Affeldt from the 15-day disabled list.
Affeldt, who has been out since mid-April with a right oblique strain, has appeared in six games this season and tossed 4 2/3 innings for a 5.79 earned run average.
In other moves, San Francisco recalled outfielder Francisco Peguero from Triple-A Fresno and also optioned catcher Hector Sanchez to Fresno.
Infielder Tony Abreu, who has been on the disabled list since March 22 with a le! knee sprain, was placed on a rehab assignment in Fresno.
