Liverpool, England – The Merseyside derby, one of England's most entertaining fixtures, will be front and center this weekend when Everton heads to Anfield to take on Liverpool on Sunday.
The meeting between the two clubs at Goodison Park earlier this season yielded a 2-2 draw, but the Toffees want three points this time around.
History is against them though, as Everton has not claimed a victory at Anfield since 1999.
Nevertheless, Leon Osman, who scored in October's 2-2 draw, believes that now is the time for Everton's winless run at Liverpool to come to an end.
"It's certainly something we need to put right," Osman told the club's official website. "It's a long time since we've gone over there and come back with three points. It's a place we need to go to and win. We've shown we can win at Goodison Park, but we want to go there and do the same.
"It's a game like any other. We'll go there full of the confidence that we've got this year."
Everton come into the weekend in sixth place with 59 points, five points better than sixth-place Liverpool.
The Reds are unbeaten in their last five Premier League contests and are coming off of a 6-0 thrashing of Newcastle last weekend, a resounding result given the fact that they were without leading-scorer Luis Suarez.
The Uruguayan is serving a 10-match suspension for biting Branislav Ivanovic, but Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge picked up the slack by bagging two goals apiece in the defeat of Newcastle.
Liverpool's attack will need to be on point if it hopes to break down Everton's impressive defense, which has conceded just 38 goals in 35 matches so far this season.
Following Sunday's Merseyside derby, title-winning Manchester United will continue is celebratory victory lap when it welcomes Chelsea to Old Trafford. While United has nothing to play for, the Blues will be continuing their pursuit of a top-four finish to secure Champions League football for next season. They enter the weekend in third place on 65 points.
Also vying for European football for next season are Tottenham and Arsenal, both of which are in action on Saturday.
The Gunners will head to Loftus Road to take on Championship-bound QPR while Tottenham welcomes Southampton to White Hart Lane.
Things are heating up at the bottom of the table as a host of clubs attempt to avoid the final relegation spot. Only six points separate Norwich City in 14th place from Wigan in 18th place.
The Canaries come into the weekend just one point ahead of Aston Villa, but the two clubs will battle it out in a massive clash at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Wigan, traditionally known for escaping the relegation battle at the death of the season, enters the round occupying the final spot in the drop zone. The Latics have a game in hand, which they will play on Tuesday, but they will hope to inch closer to safety with a positive result against West Bromwich at the Hawthorns on Saturday.
Elsewhere in the Premier League on Saturday, Fulham hosts Reading at Craven Cottage, Swansea City welcomes Manchester City to the Liberty Stadium and Newcastle heads to Upton Park to take on West Ham.
In Monday's lone Premier League contest, Sunderland will try to bounce back from a 6-1 drubbing at Villa Park last time out when it welcomes Stoke City to the Stadium of Light.
