1 (16) - E.J. Manuel, QB, Florida State; 2 (41) - Robert Woods, WR, Southern California; 2 (46) - Kiko Alonso, LB, Oregon; 3 (78) Marquise Goodwin, WR, Texas; 4 (105) - Duke Williams, FS, Nevada; 5 (143) - Jonathan Meeks, DB, Clemson; 6 (177) - Dustin Hopkins, K, Florida State; 7 (222) - Chris Gragg, TE, Arkansas

Top Picks Analysis: General manager Buddy Nix has run things in Buffalo for quite some time now and the results haven't exactly inspired confidence in his stewardship. In the end all the Ryan Nassib talk was just that but Nix and his new head coach, Doug Marrone, had a quarterback in mind -- Manuel, a very, very raw prospect. The second-round selection was much better because the Bills needed a complement to Stevie Johnson and Woods is the best route-runner in the draft and a player who has been in a pro-style offense for years. Alonso came on late during his career at Oregon and looks like a pretty instinctive player.

Best Value Pick: Goodwin is a legitimate vertical threat, an Olympic track athlete who showed up at the Senior Bowl and blew the doors off everybody. If he can catch the ball consistently, he'll blow the top off any defense.

Questionable Calls: At least they traded down before taking Manuel but you can officially start the clock on Marrone's long-term employment prospects in Western New York. The Bills already have a raw quarterback with a big arm who never developed -- Tarvaris Jackson. Let's hope Manuel doesn't make it two

Summary: Take away the Manuel reach and this draft isn't all that bad but how can you do that? Marrone and his staff will have to work overtime to get Manuel up to speed, otherwise receivers like Johnson, Woods and Goodwin are only going to get frustrated trying to corral balls from Kevin Kolb or Jackson.
