Juventus inched closer to securing the Serie A title on Sunday by claiming a 2-0 win at Torino in the latest installment of the Turin derby.

The Old Lady was held scoreless for much of the match, but Arutro Vidal popped up in the 86th minute with what turned out to be the game-winning goal.

Things went from bad to worse for Torino as Kamil Glik was given his marching orders in the 90th minute for a second bookable offence stemming from a challenge on Fabio Quagliarella.

Juventus sealed the victory in style two minutes later when Andrea Pirlo's free kick was delivered to Claudio Marchisio in front of goal, allowing the midfielder to convert from close range.

The victory sends Juve 11 points clear at the top of the table, leaving the club just two points shy of the title.

Torino's three straight losses leave the club four points clear of the relegation zone with 36 points.

AC Milan 3, Catania 2

Milan, Italy - Giampaolo Pazzini helped AC Milan snap a three-game winless run in Serie A play by bagging a brace in the club's 4-2 defeat of Catania at the San Siro on Sunday.

After Nicola Legrottaglie and Mathieu Flamini exchanged first-half goals, Catania went in front behind Gonzalo Bergessio's strike in the 65th minute.

But Pazzini managed to score twice in quick succession, nabbing the equalizer in the 75th minute before producing the go-ahead goal two minutes later. Mario Balotelli tacked on a late penalty to seal Milan's 18th league win of the season and help the club retain its third-place position with 62 points.

Catania, winless in its last five league contests, stays put in ninth place with 48 points.

Roma 4, Siena 0

Rome, Italy - Pablo Daniel Osvaldo bagged a hat trick at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday to lift Roma to a convincing 4-0 defeat of Siena.

Osvaldo opened the scoring in the 14th minute as Erik Lamela doubled Roma's lead two minutes later. Osvaldo extended the advantage with a goal in the 41st minute before wrapping up the affair by completing his hat trick in the 67th.

Roma retains fifth place in the Serie A table by improving to 55 points while Siena remains second from bottom on 30 points, just two points shy of safety.

Genoa 1, Chievo 0

Verona, Italy - Marco Borriello scored the only goal at the Stadio M.A. Bentegodi on Sunday to lead Genoa to a 1-0 win over Chievo.

Borriello's tally came 17 minutes from time, bringing his side to 32 points on the season to inch closer to a spot outside of the relegation zone.

Chievo remains on 39 points, seven points clear of the drop zone with four matches to play.

Palermo 1, Inter Milan 0

Palermo, Italy - Inter Milan's struggles continued as Josip Ilicic bagged the lone goal in Palermo's 1-0 victory at the Stadio Renzo Barbera on Sunday.

Ilicic's 10th-minute strike proved to be all the home side would need to seal all three points, handing Inter its third league loss in its last four outings to keep the club on 53 points.

Palermo is unbeaten in its last five Serie A contests and has managed 11 points over that stretch to climb out of the relegation zone on goal difference.

Fiorentina 3, Sampdoria 0

Genoa, Italy - Fiorentina secured its third straight Serie A victory on Sunday, cruising to a 3-0 defeat of Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Juan Guillermo Cuadrado and Adem Ljajic scored six minutes apart in first-half play to put the visitors in good stead for the second period, and Alberto Aquilani built upon the foundation by extending Fiorentina's lead with a goal in the 73rd minute. Daniele Gastaldello was sent off for Sampdoria 10 minutes from time to leave the home side with no way back.

Fiorentina climbs to 61 points to strengthen its bid for Champions League football next season while Sampdoria, winless in its last seven league outings, stays put on 38 points.

Parma 0, Lazio 0

Parma, Italy - Parma and Lazio split the points in a 0-0 stalemate at the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Sunday.

The only moment of action came in second-half stoppage time when Lazio's Giuseppe Biava was issued a second yellow card for a challenge from behind on Amauri.

Lazio improves to 52 points on the season, 12 points better than Parma.
