The Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Florida State linebacker Vince Williams in the sixth round of the NFL draft.

The 6-foot-1, 233 lbs. Williams is the second linebacker taken by the Steelers in this year's draft. Pittsburgh chose Jarvis Jones of Georgia in the first round.

Williams endured a series of injuries at Florida State but recorded a career-high 6.5 tackles for loss as a senior. He improved his draft stock during pre-draft workouts and gives the Steelers some help at inside linebacker.

The Steelers are set with Lawrence Timmons and Larry Foote as starters but there is little behind them. Sean Spence, a third-round pick in the 2012 Draft, remains out indefinitely while recovering from a serious knee injury.
