Rockets point guard Jeremy Lin will start Game 3 of Houston's first-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Lin was listed as day-to-day with a muscle contusion to his right chest he sustained during Wednesday's loss to Oklahoma City in Game 2.

Lin sat out the entire second half of the Rockets' 105-102 setback to the Thunder with the injury, which he said afterward happened while colliding with another player. X-rays taken following the game did turn up negative.

Patrick Beverley received the majority of the minutes at point guard in the absence of Lin, who averaged 13.1 points and 6.1 assists during the regular season.

Beverley established career bests of 16 points and 12 rebounds in Wednesday's game, while adding six assists in 41 minutes of action.

The Rockets trail the best-of-seven series 2-0 after Wednesday's defeat.
