The Baltimore Orioles recalled pitcher Josh Stinson from Class-A Frederick and named him the starter for Wednesday's contest against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Stinson was claimed off waivers from Oakland on April 4 and was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk, where he went 1-0 with a 0.77 earned run average and 10 strikeouts over two starts.

The 25-year-old right-hander made his major league debut on Sept. 2, 2011 at Washington with the New York Mets. Over 20 games (one start) with New York and Milwaukee, Stinson is 0-2 with a 4.43 ERA.

To make room for Stinson on the roster, Baltimore designated pitcher Alex Burnett for assignment. The right-handed Burnett had yet to appear in a game this season.
