Anaheim, CA – The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim placed pitcher Tommy Hanson on the bereavement list on Monday.
Hanson, who was placed on the list due to a death in his family, was scheduled to start Wednesday's series finale against Texas, but will miss the next three to seven games.
He is 2-1 with a 4.24 earned run average over three games this season.
To take his spot on the roster, the team recalled pitcher David Carpenter from Triple-A Salt Lake.
