Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said Saturday that point guard Derrick Rose would not play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Brooklyn Nets and is "most likely out" for the rest of the postseason.

Rose, who tore his ACL in the Bulls' playoff opener against the Philadelphia 76ers last April, has not played this season.

"I've said it often he's close and he is. But he can't quite make that final step," Thibodeau said.

Chicago won the game, but went on to lose the series as the 76ers defeated the Bulls, the top seed in the Eastern Conference, in six games.

The Bulls did get a surprise Saturday when All-Star center Joakim Noah started despite plantar fasciitis.

"He said he felt a lot better today. He went through the shootaround and felt fine," Thibodeau said.

The Bulls were expected to be without reserve Vladimir Radmanovic due to a sore back.
