The National Football League released its 2013 regular-season schedule on Thursday.

It will open with the Super Bowl XLVII Champion Baltimore Ravens traveling to Denver to clash with the Broncos on Thursday, Sept. 5 in a rematch of last season's thrilling AFC Divisional Playoff game.

Instead of opening their campaign at home, the Ravens were sent to Denver because the Orioles are playing in Baltimore that night and Major League Baseball was unable to move the contest.

Kickoff weekend features 13 Sunday games on Sept. 8. The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers will again face each other to open the season, except this year the game will be at Candlestick Park. The primetime matchup features the New York Giants heading to Dallas to take on the Cowboys.

The first Monday night will again be a doubleheader, with Chip Kelly to make his highly-anticipated NFL head coaching debut as his Philadelphia Eagles travel to Washington to battle with the Redskins. The San Diego Chargers host the Houston Texans in the nightcap.

The Thanksgiving games get started with the Detroit Lions hosting the Packers. Dallas is at home against the Oakland Raiders in the middle tilt, with the Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the Ravens in an AFC North clash in the nightcap.

This year's schedule also features plenty of returning visits.

Peyton Manning should get an overwhelmingly warm response when he makes his first trip to Indianapolis when the Broncos face the Colts in primetime on Sunday, Oct. 20. Manning spent 13 seasons with the Colts, then sat out all of 2011 due to several neck surgeries before being released by the team and subsequently signing with Denver.

Highlighting the 14-game NFL Network Thursday night slate, new Chiefs head coach Andy Reid will make his first appearance in Philadelphia since being fired by the Eagles when Kansas City heads to Lincoln Financial Field on Sept. 19.

Rematches of the 2012 conference championship games will occur in Week 16. The New England Patriots will be in Baltimore on Sunday night, Dec. 22, while the Atlanta Falcons host the 49ers the very next night.

Three games will be played outside the United States.

The Buffalo Bills' annual home game in Toronto will take place during Week 13 when they play the Falcons on Dec. 1.

London will get two contests this season. The Minnesota Vikings will be the home team against the Steelers during Week 4 on Sept. 29, while the Jacksonville Jaguars will host the 49ers during Week 8 on Oct. 27.

Another edition of the "Manning Bowl" will take place in Week 2 on Sept. 15, when the Broncos visit the New York Giants.

Byes for teams go from Week 4 through Week 12 and flex scheduling, where times of games can be changed for Sunday night matchups, start in Week 11.

Once again, every Week 17 contest will pit divisional opponents against one another, with all games to be held on Sunday, Dec. 29.

Wild Card weekend is set for January 4-5, with the divisional round the following weekend. The AFC and NFC championship games will be played Sunday, Jan. 19.

Super Bowl XLVIII is scheduled for Feb. 2, 2014 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
