Novak Djokovic cruised past American Sam Querrey in the final two sets to help Serbia clinch the best-of-five-tie, 3-1, in its quarterfinal Davis Cup match on Sunday.

The top-ranked Djokovic downed No. 20 Querrey 7-5, 6-7 (4-7), 6-1, 6-0 in a contest that lasted 2 hours, 35 minutes.

Serbia held a 2-1 lead over the U.S. entering Sunday after Nenad Zimonjic and Ilija Bozoljac defeated American Bryan twin brothers Bob and Mike 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-1), 5-7, 4-6, 15-13 in a marathon of a match on Saturday.

The Australian Open champion Djokovic sends Serbia to the semifinals to face Canada in September. The Canadians knocked off Italy in their quarterfinal on Sunday.

Serbia topped the 32-time titlist U.S. 3-2 in Belgrade in an opening-round tie three years ago in their lone previous Davis Cup meeting.
