In a season filled with firsts for Bayern Munich, the club is out to set another record on Saturday at Eintracht.

The Bavarians have already set the record for longest winning streak in the Bundesliga at 10 games, while also becoming the earliest autumn champions in the 50-year history of the league.

But a win at Eintracht on Saturday would make Bayern the first team to clinch the league title with six games to spare as the club sits 20 points clear of second-place Borussia Dortmund.

A 2-0 first-leg win against Juventus on Tuesday in the Champions League put Bayern in a great position to secure a place in the semifinals of the competition, while the team is still in position to become the first treble- winning German side.

The return leg in Italy against Juve will be Wednesday, but Bayern midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri knows his team must be focused against fifth-place Eintracht.

"We're determined to win the league there," Shaqiri said. "It would give us a boost for the game in Turin."

"But Frankfurt are having a great season and we mustn't underestimate them."

Eintracht's Champions League hopes have taken a hit recently as the club has won just one of its last seven games. However, with fourth-place Schalke ahead of Eintracht on goal difference, a few successive wins will put Armin Veh's men firmly in the mix for a top-four place.

Dortmund has a four-point lead on third-place Bayer Leverkusen and can strengthen that hold with a home win against relegation-battling Augsburg, while Leverkusen entertains Wolfsburg with a six-point advantage on Schalke entering the weekend.

Schalke visits Werder Bremen on Saturday in an effort to maintain its top-four place, while last-place Greuther Furth travels to Monchengladbach and Hamburg meets Freiburg after suffering a 9-2 loss to Bayern Munich last time out.

Mainz harbors European hopes and invades Nurnberg on Sunday, while the other contest that day features mid-table Hannover hosting Stuttgart.

On Friday, Hoffenheim took a giant step toward remaining in the Bundesliga by cruising to a 3-0 victory over Dusseldorf. The win lifts Hoffenheim to 23 points on the season, six points adrift of 15th-place Dusseldorf.
