MLB average ticket price revised to $27.48, down 25 cents from initial report

CHICAGO – The Team Marketing Report has revised its calculation of Major League Baseball's average ticket price this year for non-premium seats to $27.48, down 25 cents.

The change announced Wednesday means the average went up 1.8 percent rather than 2.7 percent. It remains MLB's steepest increase since 2009.

TMR said the average changed because the ticket price Toronto initially reported to it was incorrect, and that average had been used in Monday's report.
