The Buffalo Sabres have traded forward Jason Pominville and a fourth-round pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for goaltender Matt Hackett forward Johan Larsson, a first-round draft pick in 2013 and a second-round pick in 2014.

Pominville recorded 10 goals and 15 assists in 37 games with the Sabres this season. In 2011-12, he had 30 goals and 43 assists while being selected to the NHL All-Star Game.

In 578 career games with the Sabres, Pominville scored 185 goals and dished out 271 assists. In addition, the 30-year-old has 12 goals and 16 assists in 45 playoff games.

Hackett posted a 3-7-0 record in 13 career games with Minnesota. Larsson played in one game for the Wild this season.

The Wild also got goaltender Jeff Deslauriers from the Ducks in exchange for future considerations. In 62 career contests with Anaheim and Edmonton, Deslauriers has posted a 23-32-4 record with three shutouts, a 3.24 GAA and .901 save percentage.
