New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith and Utah Jazz forward Al Jefferson were named the NBA Players of the Week in the Eastern and Western Conference, respectively, for the games played March 25 through March 31.

Smith helped guide New York to a 4-0 week by averaging 29.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals off the bench. He posted 37 points on 12-of-18 shooting in a win over the Bobcats last Friday.

The Jazz also won all four of their games last week thanks to Jefferson averaging up 19.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.25 steals and 1.5 blocks.

Other nominees for weekly award were Boston's Jeff Green, Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki, Indiana's Roy Hibbert, Memphis' Mike Conley, Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, Orlando's Tobias Harris, Sacramento's DeMarcus Cousins and San Antonio's Tim Duncan.
