BUFFALO, N.Y. – A person familiar with talks says free-agent Kevin Kolb has agreed to a two-year contract with the quarterback-needy Buffalo Bills.
The person said the deal, reached Saturday night, is potentially worth over $12 million. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Bills haven't announced the move.
Several media outlets, including ESPN.com and The Buffalo News, first reported the agreement.
Kolb is a six-year player, who spent two injury-troubled seasons in Arizona before being cut by the Cardinals on March 15.
The Bills are in need of help at quarterback after releasing starter Ryan Fitzpatrick this month.
Kolb has struggled with consistency. He has completed 59.5 percent of his passes, while throwing 28 touchdowns and 25 interceptions in 34 career games.
