LeBron James expected a physical game in Chicago. He thought things went too far.
James calmly spoke out about the way two particular sequences were officiated Wednesday night in a game the Bulls won 101-97 to end the Miami Heat's 27-game winning streak.
He thought Kirk Hinrich went too far in taking him down with two hands in the first quarter, and that Taj Gibson also was excessive on a play in the fourth that the Heat argued was worthy of a flagrant-foul designation.
No flagrant was called, so James then collided into Carlos Boozer on the next possession, earning a flagrant-1 call of his own.
James says the level of physicality he faces in games "is getting to me a little bit."
