The Columbus Blue Jackets activated defenseman James Wisniewski from injured reserve prior to Thursday's game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Wisniewski has been sidelined for more than a month with a broken foot he suffered while being struck by a shot in a matchup at Chicago on Feb. 24. The veteran blueliner has missed a total of 14 games with the injury.

Prior to being shelved, Wisniewski had recorded three power-play goals along with six assists over 15 contests this season.

In a related move, Columbus placed forward Brandon Dubinsky on IR due to a lower-body ailment that has kept the offseason acquisition out of the club's last three outings.
