San Francisco 49ers owner John York, chairman of an NFL player health and safety committee, has questioned the existence and details of a union study saying players don't trust team medical staffs.

York says he has never seen the study, nor has anyone in the league. On his team, players, coaches, staff members and their families use the 49ers' physicians, he adds.

He also notes that in the current collective bargaining agreement, the league and the NFL Players Association are obligated to conduct a joint health survey.

The NFLPA said at the Super Bowl that nearly three-quarters of its members are not satisfied with the way their team manages injuries.

The union says in a statement made to The Associated Press on Tuesday it does not take York's comments seriously.
