Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty, along with Boston center Patrice Bergeron and Minnesota Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom, have been selected as the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the week ending March 3.

Pacioretty earned the First Star after posting at least one point in all four of Montreal's games en route to four goals and seven points. The Montreal winger scored two goals in a 5-2 win over Toronto before notching a goal and an assist in back-to-back games to close out the week.

Bergeron finished the week with five assists and seven points to claim the Second Star. The reigning Selke Trophy winner as the league's top defensive forward registered at least one point in all four games last week and scored the overtime winner in a 2-1 victory over Ottawa on Feb. 28.

Backstrom was named the Third Star after going 3-0-0 with a 2.00 goals-against average in his three starts last week. Backstrom closed out the week with a 19-save effort in a 4-2 win over Edmonton on March 3 to improve to 17-0-0 in 17 career home games against the Oilers, which is the second-longest winning streak against one team by any goaltender in NHL history.
