Giampaolo Pazzini and Kevin-Prince Boateng helped AC Milan to a 3-0 victory over 10-man Lazio at the San Siro on Saturday, lifting the club to third place in Serie A.

The win sees Milan climb up to 48 points to jump one point ahead of Lazio in the table.

Lazio was dealt a bad hand when Antonio Candeva was sent off in the 16th minute for bringing down Stephan El Shaarawy on the edge of the penalty area.

It took Milan nearly a half-hour to finally take advantage of the extra man as Pazzini opened the scoring in the 40th minute, slotting home a close-range effort.

Boateng extended Milan's lead four minutes later when he followed up a superb save from Federico Marchetti and turned in the rebound.

Pazzini wrapped up the affair at the hour mark, firing a low shot that found its way into the bottom corner to help the Italian strike complete his brace.
