Centurion, South Africa – Charl Coetzee fired a 7-under 65 on Friday to grab a 1-stroke lead, and maintained that advantage when the second round of the inaugural Tshwane Open concluded on Saturday.
The second round was suspended on Friday due to lightning in the area.
Coetzee finished 36 holes at Copperleaf Golf & Country Estate at 12-under-par 132, while Mark Tullo also finished his round on Friday and carded a 66 to move into second place at minus-11. He stands alongside Dawie Van Der Walt, who was 7-under through 14 holes when play was suspended on Friday before finishing on Saturday with four straight pars to card a 65.
Peter Uihlein shot a 66 on Friday to move to 10-under-par 134. He is alone in fourth place, while Romain Wattel bogeyed his final hole on Saturday to also finish his second round with a 66 and drop into a large group of players tied for fifth at minus-8.
