Braden Holtby stopped 35 shots and Mike Ribeiro had a goal and an assist and the Washington Capitals defeated the Winnipeg Jets 3-0 on Saturday.

Matt Hendricks and Todd Brouwer, with his team-leading ninth goal of the season, also scored for Washington.

It was Holtby's third shutout of the season.

Winnipeg's Ondrej Pavelec made 18 saves for the Jets, who had a three-game winning streak ended.

The last time the Jets went scoreless at home was Jan. 12, 2012, in a 2-0 loss to San Jose. The last time they were shut out was in a 3-0 loss in Montreal on Feb. 5, 2012.
