The Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to terms with 26 players on contracts for the 2013 season.

Among the notable players were 2012 rookie Starling Marte, pitcher Jared Hughes and outfielder Alex Presley.

Marte made his MLB debut on July 26 of last season and belted a home run in his first at-bat. The 24-year-old outfielder finished the season with a .257 average, five home runs, 17 RBI and 12 stolen bases in just 47 games.

Hughes appeared in 66 games out of the bullpen in 2012 and posted a 2-2 record with a 2.85 earned run average and 50 strikeouts over 75 2/3 innings.

Presley, 27, played in 104 games last season and batted .237 with 10 home runs and 25 RBI.

Other players to agree to terms on Friday included pitchers Vic Black, Jeanmar Gomez, Phil Irwin, Chris Leroux, Jeff Locke, Vin Mazzaro, Kyle McPherson, Mark Melancon, Bryan Morris, Andy Oliver, Stolmy Pimentel, Hunter Strickland, Tony Watson, Duke Welker and Justin Wilson, catchers Michael McKenry and Tony Sanchez, infielders Chase d'Arnaud, Josh Harrison, Jordy Mercer and Clint Robinson, and outfielders Jerry Sands and Travis Snider.
