Lake Forest, IL – The Chicago Bears have placed the franchise tag on defensive tackle Henry Melton.
Melton started all 14 games he played in last season and recorded 44 tackles, six sacks and two forced fumbles.
A fourth-round selection of the Bears in 2009, Melton has registered 63 tackles and 15 1/2 sacks in 45 career games.
