Bologna received a late goal from Lazaros Christodoulopoulos to overturn a one-goal deficit and take all three points with a 2-1 defeat of Fiorentina at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Tuesday.

The visitors were in front by halftime thanks to Adem Ljajic's strike in the 27th minute, but the lead lasted only until the 58th minute as Marco Motta equalized with his first goal of the campaign.

The two sides looked destined to split the points until Christodoulopoulos popped up with the game-winner six minutes from time, lifting Bologna to 29 points as the club moves eight points clear of the relegation zone.

With the loss, Fiorentina misses out on the chance to move into fourth place in Serie A as it remains sixth on 42 points.
